Body Point Therapy
What is Body Point Therapy?
Body Point Therapy is a form of Holistic massage
that incorporates more than 7 different techniques into one treatment.
The treatment last between 30 minutes to an 1 hour.

What Are Some Benefits of Body Point Therapy.
1. promotes general health and well being.
2. promotes deep relaxation and stress reduction.
3. reduces the aching/burning/stabbing pain and
discomfort associated with backaches,
fibromyalgia, headaches, migraines, muscle pain,
TMJ, and arthritis.
4. reduces mental and physical fatigue.
5. improves circulation.
What to expect:
Body Point Therapy sessions tend to last either 30 or 60 minutes.
Often, the therapist will begin by asking you about your current
physical condition, stress levels, and whether or not any part of
your body is particularly sensitive. You will be asked to remove
as much clothing as you are comfortable with and then lie on a cushioned
table. For the purposes of modesty as well as warmth, a sheet is
usually draped over your body and the therapists will fold back
the sheet when working on specific body parts. The room is generally
darkened. Sometimes soft music is played and sometimes not, depending
on what you and the therapist believes to be most relaxing for you.
The therapist often applies a lotion or oil to the body to reduce
friction, then generally applies pressure to different sections
of the body.
The Techniques used:
Swedish Massage Therapy
What Is Swedish Massage Therapy?
Massage Therapy, which originated thousands of years ago, has long
been used for relaxation, pain management, and natural healing.
It entails using varied strokes, pressures, and techniques on the
muscles and soft tissue structures of the body to effect a positive
and healing change.
Shiatsu
Is a bodywork therapy that has originated within
the Oriental Healing Arts. It incorporates the theory of acupuncture
which proposes that energy, known as "Chi" ( or "Ki")
moves through the body along well defined passageways called meridians.
Balance of these energy flows is considered to be essential for
health and well-being. Shiatsu which also utilizes acupressure,
or pressure points along with other manual therapy techniques, has
been found exceptionally effective for stress-reduction, reducing
fatigue and alleviating a wide spectrum of symptoms such as: back
pain, shoulder & neck problems, headaches, constipation, cramps,
etc...
Foot and Hand Massage
Foot and Hand Massage is the holistic approach
to wholeness through the feet. With the use of energy and manipulation
of the foot reflexes, the client assisted by the therapist, goes
into a state of relaxation, allowing the Spirit, Mind and Body to
heal.
Facial Massage
Massaging the face has many benefits and is one
place that is so often overlooked. A soothing facial massage provides
key healing benefits, including: Releasing Tension
Facial muscle tension caused by stress can lead to headaches, eye
strain, as well as jaw and neck pain. A face massage relaxes your
muscles, helping revitalize your skin and allowing you to feel more
relaxed.
Increasing Radiance
Massage speeds up circulation, enabling a better flow of oxygen
to the skin cells. Improved circulation creates healthier skin and
optimizes cell turnover for a radiant glow.
Meridian and Energy Balancing.
Is a routine approach to working on the pathways
within the body, releasing blockages and allowing the energy to
resume along its natural paths.
Craniosacral
Is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and
enhancing the functioning of a physiological body system called
the craniosacral system - comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal
fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord.
Using a soft touch generally no greater than 5
grams, or about the weight of a nickel, it release restrictions
in the craniosacral system to improve the functioning of the central
nervous system.
By complementing the body's natural healing processes,
CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its
ability to bolster resistance to disease, and is effective for a
wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction,
including:
· Migraine Headaches
· Chronic Neck and Back Pain
· Motor-Coordination Impairments
· Colic
· Central Nervous System Disorders
· Orthopedic Problems
· Traumatic Brain and Spinal Cord Injuries
· Scoliosis
· Learning Disabilities
· Chronic Fatigue
· Emotional Difficulties
· Stress and Tension-Related Problems
· Fibromyalgia and other Connective-Tissue Disorders
· Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
